Welcome to RootedNomad. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of rootednomad6.myshopify.com (or its connected custom domain) and any purchase you make through it. By placing an order or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract to place an order — generally, at least 18 years old, or using the site with a parent or guardian's permission.

2. Products & Orders

Prints, apparel, and other physical goods are made to order through our print-on-demand partners (Printful, Printify, Gelato, Creativehub, and Printswell) once you place an order — nothing is held in pre-made stock. We reserve the right to correct pricing or listing errors, limit order quantities, and cancel or refuse any order, including after it's placed, for reasons such as suspected fraud, unavailability of materials, or a pricing/description error. All prices are listed in USD and are shown before shipping, which is calculated separately at checkout.

3. Digital Downloads

Digital products (such as wallpaper downloads) are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only — you're purchasing a license to use the file, not ownership of the underlying artwork or copyright. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publicly display for commercial purposes, or claim authorship of any digital product you purchase. We reserve the right to revoke access if these terms are violated. Digital products are non-refundable once downloaded, as described in our Refund Policy.

4. Intellectual Property

All original photography, artwork, designs, layouts, text, and branding on this site — including the RootedNomad name, logo, and the field-note/masthead artwork used across products — are owned by RootedNomad and protected by copyright and trademark law. Purchasing a physical product (a print, a hoodie) gives you ownership of that physical item, but does not transfer any rights to reproduce, modify, resell, or otherwise commercially exploit the artwork itself. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of our content or designs is prohibited.

5. Shipping & Returns

Shipping timelines and costs are described in our Shipping Policy. Return and refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy. Both are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the site to: submit fraudulent orders or payment information; attempt to access, scrape, or interfere with the site's operation or security; violate any applicable law; or infringe on our intellectual property or that of others.

7. Third-Party Services

Orders are processed using Shopify and fulfilled by third-party print-on-demand partners (Printful, Printify, Gelato, Creativehub, and Printswell), who receive the order and shipping information necessary to produce and ship your item. We are not responsible for the independent acts or policies of these third parties beyond what's described in our own policies.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Products are provided "as is." We don't guarantee that colors, print quality, or fit will be identical across every unit due to the nature of made-to-order production. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
